The Marcello family has played a leading role in the history of Venice for more than a thousand years. At "Villa Marcello" in Fontanelle, a place full of charm and former hunting residence of the Tiepolo family, there has been an important vineyard tradition since the 19th century. On approximately 70 hectares located in the famous "Strada dei vini del Piave", on silty and clayey soil, characterized by a complex structure, selected grapes are produced and transformed in our modern cellars into great typical white, red and bubbly wines. Interesting are the visits to the estate with wire tasting in the 17th century granary and in the ancient cellars, where is possible to admire carriages and ancient agricultural tools, witnesses of the ancient civilisation and the life of the region.
